I think there should be SOME kind of brake as to the amount of complete mind twisting crap that is produced by movie makers. And they should not be allowed to squirm out of their responsibility for that which they create.
I have just watched a movie that would teach young people - or any people for that matter - that revenge is what heroes do by blasting many people, singly and in groups, with automatic weapons. They could learn that the only words in the English language are Fuck and Motherfucker and that they can be used as nouns, adjectives, or verbs equally.
They could learn that there are no morals except revenge, and it doesn't matter how revenge wrecks lives as long as, in the end, the hero gets it.
What are we doing that we provide such a movie as "entertainment" without wondering how it could not possibly encourage violence in our culture, or affect the mind that has watched unadulterated killing for almost two hours and heard the mellifluous sound of Fuck and Motherfucker as soundtrack.
Well at least it got no score on Rotten Tomatoes - and it deserves it too!
